Swamped | Sunshine Coast Photographer

So, you may have heard around the traps that I am heading off to Cambodia shortly. In fact I leave in 13 days. I have been so overwhelmed with support from friends and family and I want to thank everyone who has been there for me and for Jasmin at this time. This is to be my first missions trip, we go to Phnom Penh and Siem Reap for two weeks and will jump in the deep end of things loving and caring for orphaned children, mother's struggling to feed their kids (let alone themselves) and young girls rescued from the clutches of the enormous sex slave industry.
For those of you who don't know me personally, I have only been a Christian for the last 4 years, but in that short time the first thing I have learned about God is that He is a God of love, justice and compassion. He has a heart for His people, for the hungry and the poor, for the broken and the hurt. And if there is one thing He wants us to do above and beyond all else, it is to love those people. So we go to love them. We are not going with the intent to tell them about Jesus, if someone asks I will tell them. But that's not my agenda. My agenda is God's agenda, to love.

Wow, I sat down with the intentions of just posting a few pics to keep everyone's interest fed before I leave (truth be told I probably won't have time til I get back), and I end up pouring my heart out.

I cannot wait. I am a bit afraid of the things I will see, but I am more afraid of what my life, or their lives, or my daughter's life would be like if there were never people who were willing to give their time to run headfirst into the thick of things - to jump in the deep end.

So for those of you who believe, please pray for us and for me to be strong. And for those of you who don't believe in God, believe in loving others and that's why we go.

*takes deep breath* Here I go. *leaps*

The {T} Family | Sunshine Coast Photographer

I had the pleasure of doing the {T} Family photos a few weeks ago and after thrilling them with thier shots lastnight I can finally share them with you here.

All the children have incredible eyes, and the sweetest smiles. But my favourite bit was how well behaved they were the entire time. I have never worked with children this perfectly amicable. And they all love eachother so much, it's sweet to see big brothers who adore and look out for their little sister! I pray I have a family this perfect one day :)

I just love Autumn, the colours are beautiful, the air is clear and not too cold. But oh the leaves, the leaves are my favourite part.
These two girls would have to be the perfect pair to photograph in Autumn (or anytime for that matter). They love the colours just as much as I do!!

Master {J} | Sunshine Coast Lifestyle Photographer

Forgive me, I have had a lot on my plate lately. My work has taken a slight back seat. That doesn't mean I haven't been doing much, just that blogging and updating Fan pages have been a bit behind. I intend to be completely caught up before I leave for Cambodia. So the next four weeks will be hopefully full of new posts (time permitting)
For now, here is the adorable Master {J}, the hugest blue eyes with eyelashes that go on forever (yeah they are always wasted on the boys). I want them. *cries*
He seemed to have a thing for my phone, and although he's not even two yet, was able to converse with an imaginary person on the other end for ages. With, I might add, a perfect smile to match!!!

Last week I had the pleasure of shooting this stunning lady. She has gorgeous red hair (no it's not dyed at all), perfect skin and the most incredible golden brown eyes. Yeah, I love my job. Did I mention she is the sweetest girl too!! :D

The Handsome Polo, What a sweet boy he was. He was very difficult to photograph though because every time I got far enough back to get him in the frame he would move closer to cuddle me. So affectionate.

Matt and Hes | Sunshine Coast Wedding Photographer

A short while ago I posted about a wedding I shot in Toowoomba. Well I haven't been able to post anymore because I haven't had a chance to get back to Toowoomba to show the bride and groom their pictures. Well last week I managed to get there. They were blown away by their pics, and are very excited to take a slide show with them to Holland for the second wedding next month. Hester is Dutch, so they get to have two weddings not just one! How cool is that!
Matt and Hes' wedding would have to be one of my favourite's so far, everyone was so much fun, and it was such a relaxed day. We had a few hours between the ceremony and reception to shoot in too, so we managed to fit in a few different locations.
To Matt and Hes, have an awesome time at your second wedding :), and thank you so much for having me as part of such a beautiful and loving wedding day. I wish all my weddings were as cool as yours.
